Being a Teenager ( a gift and a curse... mostly a curse)

Aahh. Teen life. People tell you its the best time of your life, that these are the years where summer romances happen and people start to randomly sing in the lunch hall. Or where you might be this unpopular girl and a hot popular boy falls in love with you, or a new girl joins your school and when you see her it brings back memories of your dead hamster, and then soon everyone has a happy ending. That seems about right, doesn't it? WELL THEY LIED TO YOU! Being a teenager is indeed where you build the foundations to your future but all the fun stuff doesn't happen! A

teenager is a mutant crossed between mummy's little boy and Dad's mature adult. However, it's not like there is a middle ground, oh no my friend. Its one. or the other. But don't think that you can be safe on either side! if you are too childish, people say " oh grow up!" yet if we are mature we get the same old saying "Please Stop growing, Slow down!" We are at a stage where we don't want to rely on parents and rules, yet we sort of have too. I could say this, *puts on a old posh lady like voice* "we could say that we should embrace our life and behave like a young adult." BUT I WON'T! BEING A TEENAGER IS THE MOST STRESSFUL THING IN THE WORLD! AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN BEGUN THE HALF OF IT! When you are a teenager you must decide the personality you want to have in your future life. a personality that allows you to make friends and get a date to prom and everything else. I went through so many personalities and phases and i'm only halfway through my teen years. ( i pray for the future me and the other billion phases) i scrolled through at least a hundred " How to act like..." pages on wiki how and spent time reading up about the character i wanted to be. Trust me when i say this fellow mutants, Just try not to die when attempting something that your character would do.
